Emergency Relief Updates – Updated Service Areas – Effective October 1st, 2025
We’re making changes to our Emergency Relief service.
Update 1: for Victorian residents
Following changes to government funding, our emergency relief services will be available in a revised set of locations from October 1st, 2025.
While we are no longer operating in certain regions, we continue to deliver our support in the areas where we remain active and will assist clients in connecting with trusted emergency relief providers in regions outside our service catchment.
Our Updated Service Areas
We will continue providing emergency relief services in the following locations:
- Melbourne – Inner: St Francis
- Melbourne – West: Wyndham Vale, Melton
- Warrnambool and South West: Warrnambool
- Melbourne – South East: Dandenong
From 1st October 2025, our phone operating hours will change to Monday and Wednesday between 9:30am – 11:30am.

Update 2 – for Tasmanian residents
As of October 1st, 2025, CatholicCare Victoria will no longer be providing emergency relief services in Tasmania. This change is due to updates in government funding and service delivery arrangements.
While we are no longer operating in Tasmania, we remain committed to ensuring individuals and families can access the support they need. We will continue to help connect you with trusted providers across the state who offer emergency relief services.
