Reconciliation

In continued support of truth telling and reconciliation, CatholicCare Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, waterways and community.

We pay our respect to their elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

We acknowledge that sovereignty of lands was never ceded and we commit to the cultural safety of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, which includes our staff and communities across Victoria.

We are currently on our journey towards meaningful reconciliation. CCV is deeply committed to ensuring that our organisation, staff members and the services we offer are safe for First Nations people and we are currently working with Reconciliation Australia to develop our Reconciliation Action Plan.

Our values remain clear: we honour the unique dignity of each person and especially those who are marginalised. We honour the inherent human rights of all.
