Why we need you
This Christmas we invite you to join us in our mission of strengthening individuals and families in our communities.
The Giving Tree Appeal is a chance for your school community to come together and support vulnerable families and individuals living in Victoria. By participating in the Giving Tree Appeal, teachers, students and families in your school will have a tangible way to respond to the needs of others, while working together to foster community bonds as students return to classrooms.
For many families and individuals, Christmas can be a difficult time. With continued lockdowns, many families and individuals are continuing to deal with the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on our community. The families and individuals that were struggling before these events are in need of help now more than ever.
With your support this Christmas, we aim to deliver food hampers to 500 families and individuals in need throughout Victoria.
The funds raised beyond the need for hampers will go towards vital services: counselling and mental health programs, employment help, affordable housing, support for separating families, refugee and asylum seeker help, specialised support for children and teens, pastoral care, crisis help, homelessness and advocacy support, and a variety of courses helping to strengthen relationships and wellbeing.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
