The Regional Parenting Program provides group programs and one-on-one education to help parents develop strong parenting skills and strategies.

If you are a family or carer living in regional Victoria, this program can support you to build parenting confidence and enhance family life.

Parenting can be challenging, but you’re not alone

If you’re struggling with the challenges of parenting or want to enhance your parenting skills, participating in a parenting program can help.

Our Regional Parenting Program can assist you to feel more secure and confident about your parenting, and can help you build the skills you need to better support your children.

We provide group work and one-on-one education programs for parents, providing opportunities to:

  • learn methods for dealing with difficult behaviours in children
  • build confidence in parenting
  • develop and consolidate skills in listening to children
  • learn how to teach discipline and stop children from fighting
  • discover that parenting can be enjoyable


How do I access this service?

Families and carers with children aged 2-18 years can access our Regional Parenting Program by calling one of our offices below.

Community service organisations and health professionals can make referrals into the Regional Parenting Program by contacting us and filling out the referral form below.

Interpreter services can be arranged if required.

Fees

Regional Parenting Program sessions are charged on a sliding scale – this means that the fee per session is dependent on your income.

Sessions are $20 for Concession card / Health Care card holders and students.

At CatholicCare Victoria we believe everyone should be able to access support for a better life. If you are experiencing financial hardship, we can discuss payment options for you.

This service is funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (Victorian State Government).
