Volunteer your time and skills to support families and individuals.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, abilities, and identities!

Volunteers must be aged 18+.

Make a difference in your community

Our volunteers help to empower vulnerable families, children and individuals to reach their full potential.

Volunteering is a rewarding experience and a great opportunity to stay active in the community, meet new people, and to use your passion and skills to help others (as well as building new skills and experiences!).

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, life stages and with a broad range of skills. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

CatholicCare Victoria has a zero tolerance for child abuse, neglect, and exploitation.  All people who seek to work with CCV as a volunteer, paid employee or contractor will be required to have valid WWCC, criminal record checks and to adhere to our Code of Conduct.

Our volunteers make a substantial contribution

Volunteers play a critical role at CatholicCare Victoria. Around 10% of the services we provide to people in need wouldn’t be possible without the support of our volunteers. We currently have 96 volunteers who actively dedicate their time.

Our volunteers run and support a range of services including:

  • administrative support at our offices
  • Emergency Relief intake
  • English conversation classes for newly-arrived refugees
  • academic support and encouragement for disadvantaged adults enrolled in our Clemente program
  • event help and organisation
  • sewing group
  • homework clubs
  • pastoral support in prisons

We are very grateful for the many wonderful people who give their time, skills and experience to help us respond to an ever-increasing demand for our services.

By volunteering, they contribute to making our community a better place and provide hope for a brighter future.
