From 30 November to 2 December, CatholicCare Victoria (CCV) was proud to exhibit at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) 2025. The event brought together thousands of young people, educators, clergy and Catholic community members from across Australia.
Across the three days, our team engaged with more than 6,000 attendees. We shared conversations about community connection, social justice and the many ways CCV supports individuals, families and young people across the state.
Our booth welcomed steady activity and thoughtful engagement. One of the key highlights was our Pledge It Forward wall, an initiative inviting attendees to share a personal commitment to creating a kinder, more connected community.
More than 600 pledges were written and added to the display. Together they formed a powerful visual symbol of shared hope and the collective desire to build inclusion and compassion in everyday life.
Visitors also enjoyed learning about the breadth of CCV’s work, including our youth programs, counselling and wellbeing services, community engagement initiatives and social service pathways. Many were surprised to discover that CCV delivers nearly 50 programs across multiple locations statewide.
Interactive activities such as our digital prize wheel and Polaroid photo station offered meaningful opportunities for attendees to connect with our staff and explore the values that guide our mission.
Participating in ACYF provided an important opportunity to speak with young people about the real impact of social service work. Many visitors expressed interest in volunteering, future career pathways and opportunities to contribute to their local communities.
Throughout the festival, our team also strengthened connections with Catholic schools, diocesan representatives and partner agencies. These relationships play an important role in delivering strong community outcomes.
