Double Your Impact This Christmas: Help Fill Empty Plates for Victorian Families  

For many Victorians, Christmas is a time of joy — gathering with loved ones to share food, laughter and love around the table. But for too many, this Christmas will be marked by worry, hunger and empty plates. 

More than 3.7 million Australians experienced food insecurity in the past year, and in Victoria alone, one in six households has run out of food and been unable to afford more. Families are being forced to make heartbreaking choices between paying rent or buying groceries, keeping the lights on or putting food on the table. 

To help ease the strain, CatholicCare Victoria (CCV) has launched its Christmas Food Voucher Appeal — ensuring that no one in our community goes without the dignity and joy of a Christmas meal. 

100% of all donations to CatholicCare Victoria’s Christmas Food Voucher Program go directly to providing food vouchers for people in need — empowering them to choose the meals that bring comfort, celebrate traditions, and share in the spirit of the season. 

Thanks to the generous support of Catholic Development Fund (CDF), every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000, doubling the impact for families across Victoria.
