We are excited to announce the launch of KINnected, a new carers group, created to support and empower incredible kinship carers in Mildura.
KINnected was designed to bring carers together monthly, in a welcoming and supportive space, for connection and the sharing of practical resources.
Kinship carers hold families together during some of the most challenging times, and this group acknowledges the vital role they play by offering a place to be heard, understood, and supported.
Carers were welcomed with warmth, great conversations, a community BBQ, and plenty of opportunities to share their stories with others walking a similar path.
The energy, the laughter, and the passion for caring for children in the room, affirmed exactly why this group matters, and why the team is so committed to growing it.
KINnected will continue to develop into a hub for peer support, information sharing, practical help, and social connection. With monthly gatherings and ongoing opportunities for learning and relationship-building, we’re creating a space where carers don’t just cope, they thrive.
This is just the beginning, and the team couldn’t be more excited about where KINnected is headed. Together, we’re building a stronger, more supported community of kinship carers; one connection at a time.
KINnected runs every second Tuesday of the month, 11am – 1pm. If you’re interested in participating, please contact:
