Strengthening family relationships

Previously known as Integrated Family Services (IFS), Family Services provides in-home support and parenting skill development to assist families experiencing multiple difficulties.

Family Services aims to protect children and young people, and support families with children aged 0-18 years old, who are at risk of welfare concerns escalating and Child Protection becoming involved.

Our Practitioners work with families to understand their specific needs, set achievable personal goals, and provide support services to help reach these goals.

These may include:

intensive in-home support (home visits)
enhancing parenting skills
connection and referrals to other community supports or support groups
advocacy to improve access to other health and wellbeing services
case management

Who is this service for?

Family Services are for children and families who may be experiencing the impacts of multiple issues, which may include:

alcohol and other drugs abuse
child development
disability
family conflict
family violence
financial difficulties
grief and loss

illness
mental health
parenting difficulties
separation issues
social isolation
trauma

We also work with expectant parents to address issues and strengthen relationships. Our goal is to help create a positive home environment before the birth of your child.
