Respite for parents

Our group sessions and one-on-one education helps parents and carers across Victoria develop strong parenting skills and strategies.

We assist parents and carers navigate the complexities of blended and/or separated families, providing opportunities to build emotional intelligence in their children and build stronger relationships.

Parenting can be challenging, but you’re not alone

Our Regional Parenting Program, based in Ballarat and the Loddon-Mallee region, can assist you to feel more confident about your parenting, and can help better understand and support your children. 

We provide FREE group workshops and programs, and one-on-one education programs for parents, providing opportunities to:

  • learn methods for dealing with difficult behaviours in children

  • develop and consolidate skills in listening to children

  • how to build emotional intelligence in children

  • instill discipline and resolve conflicts between children

  • skills development and referrals to courses

  • discover that parenting can be enjoyable and build your confidence

Who is this for?

Parents, guardians and carers of children aged 2 to 18, located in Ballarat, Bendigo, Loddon Mallee region and Warrnambool.

Meet the team

Lisa Castles, Practitioner (Bendigo)

Lisa has a background in Education, Family Violence, Mental Health, and Training which has seen her work across multiple sectors over the past 18 years. Lisa uses her experience to support parents and families thrive.

Julia Feiss, Practitioner (Bendigo)

Julia has a background in Social Work having spent years working in the Education, Community and private sector. With a passion for family breakdown prevention, relationship education and parenting has been at the forefront of her work in most recent years.

The Regional Parenting Program service is funded by the Victorian State Government Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
