Our Supported Accommodation for Vulnerable Victorians (SAVVI) and Supporting Connections services support both residents and proprietors (owners) of Supported Residential Services (SRS).

Improving residents’ wellbeing and social connectedness

If you are living in accommodation with Supported Residential Services, we can help you find relevant support services. We can also help you to manage feelings of isolation and help you to get involved in your community.

Our Supporting Connections staff can support you to:

  • identify unmet health or social needs
  • access local health and social services through referrals
  • improve outcomes for social and health needs
  • increase social participation

Helping SRS proprietors improve care and planning

The Supported Accommodation for Vulnerable Victorians (SAVVI) service is designed to create a stronger foundation for pension-level SRS, to meet the increasingly complex support needs of their residents.

This service can provide grants for staffing, operation, maintenance, aids and equipment, room supplements, staff training and resident activities.

Our staff can help SRS proprietors to:

  • Facility Cost Relief (FCR)
  • Resident Amenity and Safety Funding
  • identify resident needs and improve care
  • manage challenging behaviours
  • strengthen relationships with local services
  • build skills and knowledge to support residents and build residents’ confidence and independence
  • provide one-off grants for the purchase of furniture, white goods, beds, linen, carpet, heating and cooling devices, fresh fruit and dietician advice

Who is this service for?

  • People living in accommodation with Supported Residential Services
  • Pension-only SRS proprietors

 

Interpreter services can be arranged if required.

Free.

This service is funded by the Victorian State Government Department of Health and Human Services  and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
