Professional development for school staff

Our approach is centred around identifying existing skills and resources within the school, as well as ensuring that teachers are better connected with other supports and resources in their communities. 

School staff leave our sessions better equipped to meet the day-to-day challenges of supporting children’s wellbeing.

Group and individual sessions are available to suit your needs. We can cover topics including:

  • classroom management
  • managing students with challenging behaviours
  • how to instill discipline
  • identifying and supporting emotions early
  • self-care and caring for staff

Clinical supervision for wellbeing staff

Our experienced clinical supervisors provide supervision to wellbeing staff, psychologists, counsellors and mental health practitioners within school settings, so that they are able to better support their students.

Staff benefit from a range of services available, with options including:

  • regular clinical supervision
  • group and/or individual clinical supervision
  • one-off debriefing support
  • periodic case consultation/clinical advice

 

Supervision can be delivered on-site at a school or at any of our offices across Victoria.

Our supervisors are board-endorsed with expertise in child safety regulations, mandatory reporting, and APS codes of ethics in mind – covering legal and ethical actions by a school counsellor working in a school system.
