Yes. We discuss all options with you to help you make an informed decision, which is best for you.

Decision-making pregnancy counselling from CatholicCare Victoria:

1. is independent of political activity associated with abortion 
2. is independent of abortion provision services and referrals
3. provides information about all aspects of each option available to you (including continuing with your pregnancy, abortion, or adoption)

Yes, all counselling sessions are confidential. Your personal information will not be disclosed without your consent (except when counsellors are required to by law).

Number of sessions will be based on your needs. Usually more than one session is necessary, as it takes time and discussion to explore and address feelings and thoughts about issues.

You can receive support throughout your journey, and return to counselling if you feel the need to.

Yes. You are encouraged to bring your partner, a friend and/or your parents if that is what you would like.

This could be beneficial to your wellbeing, but it is also important that your counsellor spends time just with you, too, to explore your thoughts and feelings without influence or judgment of others.

No. We have no connection to abortion providers, and no connection to any political activity about abortion.

Our service is non-directive, which gives individuals and couples the support they need to consider their situation and options, without judgement.

Non-directive counselling does not make decisions for you and does not promote or encourage decisions towards any one option.
