Assisting refugees and migrants to join the Australian workforce

For refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants, finding a job can be a barrier to successful settlement.

Language barriers, getting qualifications or previous experience recognised in Australia and unfamiliarity with the Australian workplace, can act as barriers for many who are hoping to build a new life in Australia.

We’re here to empower recently-arrived refugees and migrants, and provide you with the tools to secure employment.

The Settle Well – Next Phase Program aims to:

Provide access to training and development opportunities
Provide information about Australian Workplace Culture, Workplace Safety, Behaviour at Work, and other relevant topics
Assist with resume and cover letter preparation
Increase confidence to search for employment opportunities, prepare for an application, prepare for interviews, and complete pre-employment documentation

Who is this service for?

Refugees, asylum seekers or migrants living in Dandenong, Epping, Wyndham and Geelong
Community organisations can also make referrals by contacting us.
If you are an employer or training organisation looking to support a recently-arrived person, reach out to us.
