About the role
In 2024 the CCV Schools Unit was awarded a 4-year Department of Health & Aging grant to address critical psychology shortages by supporting Provisional Psychologists undertaking the 5 +1 Internship Program to practice.
CCV has successfully implemented this grant and is seeking to uplift the clinical management capability of this program by employing a Senior Psychologist – 5 +1 Internship Lead.
Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- Playing a crucial role in developing the next generation of psychologists and meeting the requirements of the Psychology-Board Guidelines for the 5 +1 Internship Program.
- Provide high-level clinical support, supervision, guidance, and advice to provisional psychologists in the 5+1 internship program.
- Oversee the implementation of the CCVT 5+1 internship program, ensuring compliance with Psychology Board of Australia guidelines.
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
- General registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
- Board-approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Extensive experience (ideally 10+ years) in clinical practice and supervision, preferably in diverse settings.
- Demonstrated understanding of the 5+1 internship program requirements and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based psychological services and stay current with research and best practices.
