  • 75 hours per fortnight, continuing position.

About the role

The program aims to ensure the wellbeing of individuals, couples and families by minimising the emotional, social and economic costs of disruption to daily functioning and / or relationships. Services are for all community members including from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, indigenous people, low-income earners, sole parents and those living in remote areas.

The Team Leader position has current portfolio responsibility for the following activities:

  • Family and Relationship Services (FaRS)
  • Family Law Counselling (FLC)

Specifically, the position is responsible for:

  • Coordinating and monitoring caseloads, including providing support, guidance and supervision to staff to ensure positive outcomes, and includes carrying a therapeutic client case load
  • Team leader level responsibility and employee supervision for the Family and Relationship Services (FaRS) and Family Law Counselling (FLC)
  • Contribute to the development of funding proposal submissions, service models, research and innovation
  • Participating in the formation of programs and work practices
  • Undertake and complete all reporting requirements in accordance with milestones

 

 

To be considered for this position, applicants require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Community Development or similar related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in providing professional supervision to client-facing staff in the delivery of human services programs
  • Strong understanding of a variety of theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies, including working with children, young people and families
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislative requirements and funding body frameworks and guidelines
