About the role
The program aims to ensure the wellbeing of individuals, couples and families by minimising the emotional, social and economic costs of disruption to daily functioning and / or relationships. Services are for all community members including from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, indigenous people, low-income earners, sole parents and those living in remote areas.
The Team Leader position has current portfolio responsibility for the following activities:
- Family and Relationship Services (FaRS)
- Family Law Counselling (FLC)
Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- Coordinating and monitoring caseloads, including providing support, guidance and supervision to staff to ensure positive outcomes, and includes carrying a therapeutic client case load
- Team leader level responsibility and employee supervision for the Family and Relationship Services (FaRS) and Family Law Counselling (FLC)
- Contribute to the development of funding proposal submissions, service models, research and innovation
- Participating in the formation of programs and work practices
- Undertake and complete all reporting requirements in accordance with milestones
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Community Development or similar related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in providing professional supervision to client-facing staff in the delivery of human services programs
- Strong understanding of a variety of theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies, including working with children, young people and families
- Sound understanding of relevant legislative requirements and funding body frameworks and guidelines
