About the role

Team Leader, Refugee and Asylum Seeker Services is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient coordination of Settle Well, Job Readiness and our AOD Programs. The position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring caseloads, including providing day-to-day practice supervision support and guidance to staff to ensure positive outcomes.

 

Specifically, the position is responsible for:

  • Contribute to the development of funding proposals and tenders, service models, research and innovation
  • Supervise and coach direct reports to support them in the achievement of their goals
  • Undertake and complete all reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop and review documents required to articulate and support service delivery
  • Ensure the program and services can operate effectively within budgets

 

 

To be considered for this position, applicants require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Community Development or similar related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of health, social or community services, particularly alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and / or with culturally and linguistically diverse clients and communities.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing professional supervision to client-facing staff in the delivery of human services programs
  • Demonstrated experience in working with standards and certification requirements
  • Strong understanding of a variety of theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies, including working with children, young people and families
