Chaplaincy Appeal

Your gift to Chaplaincy Appeal will ensure that the Chaplains can continue to bring hope to more Victorians, and be messengers of God's mercy, love and compassion.

The Chaplains of CatholicCare Victoria support thousands of Victorians every year in hospitals, prisons and youth justice centres and those living with HIV/AIDS.

Each day they faithfully meet the emotional and spiritual needs of the vulnerable, isolated and marginalised in our community by providing pastoral and spiritual support. Our Chaplains provide a listening ear, a compassionate presence, along with assistance to cope with emotional pain and loneliness.

Your kind support will ensure that our Chaplains can continue to provide much-needed pastoral care to Victorians in need.

As Hospital Chaplains, we are there for the spiritual and emotional health and support of the patient and their families at difficult times; times where there is stress and fear. A chaplain is someone who can listen, and patiently assist and guide.

CatholicCare Victoria Hospital Chaplain

Your support and generosity enables our chaplains to continue to be messengers of God’s mercy, love and compassion and helps people find comfort and hope as they go through some of their darkest hours and times of need.

“When I was sick, you took care of me,
and when I was in jail, you visited me.”

- Matthew 25:36

Jesus’ words remind us that the challenging dimensions of human experience, such as illness, imprisonment and isolation,
are the very places where the Church needs to be.

Please be generous in your support of CatholicCare Victoria’s Pastoral Ministry.

May our God keep you and hold you in His love and care.

Archbishop Peter A Comensoli
Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne
