Our Partners

Empowering communities together

We are extremely grateful for the support of our partners who share our vision for a stronger, more resilient and inclusive society.

Our partners help us to extend our reach and enhance our efficiency. Together, we’re empowering families, individuals and communities and helping to build brighter futures.

Australian Catholic University

CatholicCare and Australian Catholic University (ACU) have partnered in the delivery of the Clemente Fitzroy program since 2012.

Our partnership aims to break the cycle of poverty, inequity and social injustice for marginalised people who have been unable to access higher education because of significant life challenges. ACU provides academic personnel and awards a Certificate of Liberal Studies to students who complete the required units.

CatholicCare Victoria Tasmania

CatholicCare Victoria Tasmania (CCVT) was formed in 2011 to bring together the shared expertise, resources and leadership of four participating agencies (now two agencies: CatholicCare Victoria and CatholicCare Tasmania).

CCVT is responsible for the coordination of program delivery across Victoria and Tasmania, and represents its participating agencies in applying for Government and other funding to support community welfare services across Victoria and Tasmania.

Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services

We partner with Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services (LCMS) to support parents from migrant and refugee backgrounds in culturally sensitive and appropriate ways.

Together with LCMS we co-facilitate parenting workshops (Parenting in a New Culture) and provide family camps for members of the Karen and Hazara community.

Bendigo Community Health Services

We partner with Bendigo Community Health Services (BCHS) in running parenting workshops and programs in conjunction with the refugee settlement program at BCHS.

BCHS co-facilitates the Parenting in a New Culture program (primarily for parents in the Karen and Hazara community), translates workshop material, and engages with their clients to refer suitable families to the workshop.

St John of God Health Care

In 2016, CatholicCare entered into a four-year partnership with St John of God Health Care to extend our Asylum Seeker Support Program. In 2020, this partnership was extended for a further three years.

The Asylum Seeker Support Program works closely with parishes across the Archdiocese of Melbourne to provide accommodation and support to families and individuals seeking asylum within the Melbourne community.
