The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) provides small no-interest loans up to $2,000 for people in need.
If you are on a low income and require financial assistance to purchase essential items or services, NILS can help.

12-month repayment period with no interest
If you are struggling to afford essential items for home, work, study or medical expenses, its okay to ask for help.
NILS can support you to purchase significant or essential items/services such as:
- new household items
- essential services
- medical equipment
- tools or educational items
Before accessing the NILS program, a Support Worker will assess your needs and financial situation to ensure you meet eligibility.
No Interest Loans are repaid over a 12-month period as agreed in your affordable repayment plan, which we will discuss with you.

People on a low income can access this service by contacting one of our offices listed below.
Community service organisations can also make referrals to the No Interest Loan Scheme by contacting us.
Fees
There is no charge to access this service.
This service is funded by Good Shepherd Microfinance.
